He has led as a Youth/Children’s pastor and has twenty years’ experience directing youth camps and vacation Bible school camps as well as writing and directing plays and skits for area churches. Josh is also a seasoned actor and is currently in rehearsal for Leeds Arts Council production of the musical She Loves Me. You may have also seen him as Buddy the Elf in ACTA theatre’s production of Elf the Musical. Additionally, Josh is a character performer with The Party Palace. He is extremely excited to be your camp Director and to see each student bring the Finding Nemo characters to life.

This camp is designed for rising 2nd graders through rising 12th graders. The workshop will be held June 5-16 with performances June 16-18. Each child who attends the workshop will have a part in the play and will appear on stage. Tickets to all performances will be open to family and friends of students for $10 each.

Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

We would love for your student to be a part of this wonderful experience! The cost of camp is $225 per student, and if more than one sibling attends, the cost of each additional sibling is $200. Please visit leedsartscouncil.org to register for class. Enrollment is limited to 40 students so reserve your spot today!
